flights-of-fantasy is all about colour – soft pastels, brights, neon hues, monochrome and gentle colours from nature I work primarily in felt, making beautiful flower corsages and brooches, necklaces, bracelets, bags and scarves I also use upcycled/recycled and vintage fabrics to create coiled fabric baskets and fabric decoupage items for the home
Whatever the item, it is a one-off so you are getting something truly individual and really special. I can 'repeat' something you've seen before but that's subsequently been sold but it will be slightly different and therefore unique for you
I am happy to discuss totally customised orders: looking for felt flowers in your own choice of colours? perhaps you'd like an unusual wedding bouquet, say, in lime green? or maybe you want your daughter’s outgrown dresses made into a basket? It can be done! - just get in touch at email@example.com
Take a look at the vintage and reworked bags I've found and if you want something totally 'bling' there are some lovely designs from Ritzy Crystals.
I hope you will be excited by the unusual and 'everlasting' bouquets I can make for you and an unusual collection of ring pillows - just asking to live in your bedroom afterwards! Don't forget - ring pillows look just as pretty as bedroom decorations, and bouquets can be used in a vase - so much more interesting than 'fake flowers' usually are!
You will see I now have a collection of designs based on seedpods (yes, really) and my flower-making kits with lots of instruction are ready to order, so if you can't make it to a class here, you can have a go on your own. Great idea for a partybag gift - something to do and the bits and pieces and instructions to take home. I've also got gift tokens for classes, which make great gifts
You can see examples of my work on the following sites: Surrey Guild of Craftsmen, UKhandmade, groovycart, craftjuice and flikr, Made by Hands of Britain and CraftyMagpie
My work is also on show at The Lovers Lights Gallery in Twickenham from November 8th.
