![]() Of course, all makers are awaiting more news from the government and from event organisers - we all want selling opportunities for 2021!
Meanwhile you will find my work listed on meetthymaker.co.uk (higher-priced items) and on artisanryco.co.uk and luxecellence.com. Please check out the page on What's for Sale and Where, or go direct to each of the websites for my work and items from other sellers. Both sites are still finding their feet, but aiming at top quality, high end products, so I do hope you will take a look at both. Plaster casts will, increasingly, be added to those two websites as spring arrives and more making is possible, but in the meantime, do contact me if you like the idea of something simple and classy for a gift. They range from £30.00 for a small circular plaque to £95.00 as currently on Luxecellence, with plenty more in the £40-50.00 price bracket. The Surrey Guild of Craftsmen is still hoping the touring exhibition - Elements Redefined will be able to go ahead. Sandown Park in March is already cancelled, but will be online. Watch out for information about this from March 5-7th where both The Surrey Guild and I have items listed. Hopefully by April the Elements Redefined date at New Ashgate Gallery, in Farnham will be 'all-systems-go'! Workshops in a Wallet - these kits have proved incredibly popular - I'm so pleased so many people are still keen to learn about feltmaking! The kits include everything except my presence. These will continue to be available by emailing me, or from craftcourses.com. Hover over Other Interesting Goodies and the drop-down will appear with the options) The two newest are Creepies and Crawlies (aimed at fun for children £17.50) and Loving Lavender (£20.00). CORONAVIRUS REASSURANCE: The paper and wool are from new packs only handled with vinyl gloves on. The plastic wallet, brooch pins and my contact card have only been handled with gloved hands in the 5 days (or more) prior to packing your purchase. The only thing over which I have no control is the outer packaging. You will find my Well Urned Rest page has not progressed very much - a combination of some teething problems with the website AND with some of the designs as I have now decided to make everything more affordable, and thus there's a lot of redesigning going on! Anyway, I hope you will check out www.wellurnedrest.com from time to time and also the facebook page: www.facebook.com/wellurnedrest. Meanwhile I've sold some of my lovely vessels just as decorative items - unusual gifts for a wedding, perhaps, or just for something eye-catching at home. CARDS I will continue to sell cards - those below are just a few designs painted by my son Thomas who is a research scientist in Australia. Painting is his relaxation and an antidote to looking down a microscope. Cards are £3.50 each including an envelope and postage is included. A selection of my own cards can be seen at The Surrey Guild shop in Milford. |
![]() WORKSHOPS As many of you already know, I don't timetable classes but just agree dates with everyone individually. Once we get back out of lockdown I shall be running them again - here's hoping Spring will bring good news on that front! These are the current workshops, all a great introduction to wetfelting with a resist (essentially making a 3D item) Bring me a Rose - make a small rose-topped trinket pot (as above) Pods and Pots - producing a bowl or 'pod' big enough to gather small items Gone to Seed - smaller pods with a seed and tendrils to use as a room scent (as in the top picture) Fun with Felt Flowers - two felt flower brooches: another great workshop for those relatively new to felting. These classes are 3 hours long (often run over) and cost £45.00 including all materials. I also offer a £5 discount for your own workshop if you bring a friend with you. I am still running Memories Baskets workshops so you can make something truly memorable from your saved fabrics or garments, see below. MEMORIES BASKETS MADE FOR YOU Baskets can be made specially for you. I call these Memories Baskets because they are made of fabrics that mean something special to you. This is a much better way to 'hoard' them, than a box of old clothes! I can also make baskets in my own fabrics (or a mixture of both yours and mine) but to match your colour preferences. |
