2019 was a very busy year, with lots of events and workshops and a good many new designs in felt.
Spring and summer were wonderful for plaster casts and obviously lots of you thought little plaster memories of those months were worth having because I am pleased to say I had a steady flow of customers!
Even if you call wild flowers weeds, I don't mind - I have a perfect excuse not to pull them up as I need them for plaster casting!
I've not yet decided what events to get involved in this year, but keep an eye on my facebook pages for information and updates. I'll also list them on the Events page here.

I hope you will keep and eye on the now not-so-new Well Urned Rest page here, and my lovely website www.wellurnedrest.com.
I launched the Well Urned Rest website on February 14th last year, a day when we all remember those we love. I have also started a Facebook page for updates this new work but please keep checking as the designs, being quite complicated, take time to evolve.
I've even sold some of these lovely vessels just as decorative items - unusual gifts for a wedding, perhaps, or just for something eye-catching at home.
Etsy has rethought its selling policies and I am considering whether to continue to sell my work on that site and Folksy, while looking into other selling sites. Meanwhile, examples of my work will continue to appear here. If you contact me I can let you know if I still have whatever has caught your eye.
Until January 26th, all my coiled baskets are on sale at much reduced prices at The Surrey Guild of Craftsmen gallery in Milford, Surrey, and a selection of plaster plaques are being offered at up to 50% discount.
Throughout 2020 I will continue to sell cards - those below are just a few designs painted by my son Thomas who is a research scientist in Australia. Painting is his relaxation and an antidote to looking down a microscope. Cards are £3.50 each including an envelope and postage is included. A selection of my own cards can be seen at The Surrey Guild shop.
As many of you already know, I don't timetable classes but just agree dates with everyone individually.
At the moment I am running the following felting workshops, all a great introduction to wetfelting with a resist (essentially making a 3D item)
Bring me a Rose - make a small rose-topped trinket pot (as above)
Pods and Pots - producing a bowl or 'pod' big enough to gather small items
Gone to Seed - smaller pods with a seed and tendrils to use as a room scent (as in the top picture)
Fun with Felt Flowers - two felt flower brooches: another great workshop for those relatively new to felting
These classes are 3 hours long (often run over) and cost £45.00 including all materials if it is the first class you have done with me, and £40.00 if you have been before. I also offer a £5 discount for your own workshop if you bring a friend with you.
MEMORIES BASKETS MADE FOR YOU
Baskets can be made specially for you.
I call these Memories Baskets because they are made of fabrics that mean something special to you. This is a much better way to 'hoard' them, than a box of old clothes!
I can also make baskets in my own fabrics (or a mixture of both yours and mine) but to match your colour preferences.
