My designs for weddings were launched in October 2012 before people were really getting into 'alternative bouquet' ideas. I make bouquets/posies for brides and bridesmaids and all manner of other floral decorations - wrist corsages, corsages for the wedding party, buttonholes, little things for flower girls to carry and wedding ring pillows. I can also make decorative flowers for your venue or church.
Because your purchases can't 'die' you can think ahead, make your plans and be sure your bouquet and other floral decorations are safely tucked away and ready long before your Big Day - so no last minute panics and problems!
What's more they will look just as lovely the day after, the week after and for years to come! Truly a forever memory. These wedding flowers are just perfect for anyone with family members suffering from asthma or pollen allergies.
The young couple above live in Melbourne, Australia - and their flowers travelled a very long way to be grouped with local ferns and eucalyptus. The bride's choice of electric blue and black just wouldn't have been possible in 'real' flowers.
You can choose all sorts of materials too - from handmade felt to silks, cottons, velvets, satins and crochet (some of it being vintage). I use new, upcycled and recycled fabrics as I do for my baskets and can use customer's own fabrics, buttons and beads to incorporate into a truly personal bouquet. The picture above shows an arrangement in ostrich feathers....now how's that for an unusual idea? (it was more than 24ins across)
If you'd like something pretty and beautifully scented for wedding favours, I can make you tiny silk lavender bags in the same fabric as your own dress or your bridesmaids' dresses - or any other fabrics you choose (see the Other Interesting Goodies page). As an idea - I made some lovely ones for a 50s wedding in fabrics from the bride's childhood dresses. So colourful!
I have a very special opportunity for brides who choose to have a bouquet in felt - the chance to come along with mums/friends (or alone), choose your colours and make some of the flowers for me to wire into your bouquet.
